Reinforcing its commitment to environmental sustainability and community development, Beximco Pharmaceuticals Limited organized a tree plantation program at educational
institutions and its factory premises in Tongi on the occasion of World Environment Day.The programmes were held Monday at UCEP-Tongi Pourashava Kalabagan School and
Hazi Kasimuddin Public School and College, bringing together students, teachers, school staff, and employees of Beximco Pharmaceuticals in a collective effort to promote
environmental awareness and greener communities.Participants planted a variety of trees within the school premises, while students were also
gifted fruit-bearing saplings to take home and plant in their own communities. The initiative
aimed not only to increase green coverage but also to encourage young people to develop a lifelong sense of environmental responsibility.
As neighboring institutions located close to the company’s operations, the two schools hold special significance for Beximco Pharmaceuticals. During the programmes, company representatives expressed their commitment to strengthening engagement with the schools through future educational, environmental and community-focused initiatives. Beximco Pharmaceuticals pledged to work more closely with the institutions in the coming years
through a range of activities and programmes designed to benefit students and support local
community development.Continuing the observance, Rabbur Reza, Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Beximco
Pharmaceuticals, planted an avocado tree at the company’s factory premises in Tongi.He said, ‘Environmental stewardship is a continuous journey. At Beximco Pharmaceuticals,
we believe meaningful change comes from consistent action every day. Through initiatives like these and our ongoing sustainability efforts, we remain committed to creating a greener
future for our communities and future generations.’Rabbur Reza highlighted the company’s ongoing efforts to embed sustainability into its daily operations. He shared that Beximco Pharmaceuticals has undertaken significant measures to reduce plastic consumption across its facilities, including eliminating the use of plastic
water bottles within its factory premises. The company also prioritizes responsible water management and continuously works to minimize water wastage and improve resource
efficiency across its operations.
